Our story.

I started the journey of record collecting as a teenager, when I got my first job at a record shop in my hometown in Connecticut. As a youngster I played drums, and thanks to my instructor, it was important to learn all of the styles of music from around the world to be a well rounded musician. This “open ear” led me to explore music far beyond the radio hits, finding music from the present and past from all parts of the United States and the world. This is still the case as I am always looking for music that I’ve never seen before. My job at the record shop always kept my appetite full as there were more recordings in one place than I could ever listen to in a lifetime. Today, I’ve since left behind the old record shop, getting involved in one of my own, which has since transformed into @mostlyrecords. Now I am always searching attics, basements, libraries, junk shops, and everywhere in between for interesting record albums. Nowadays instead of a single location brick & mortar store, I set up and tear down a mobile record store at various events in the USA. Constantly filling my record crates with record collections, and bringing them around to the people who are just as curious and hungry for music as I am! I’ll always update my schedule as the Spring, Summer, and Fall bring on fairs, conventions, and events. My instagram @mostlyrecords is always a great place to go to see some quality records, as well as updates for upcoming events in and around Pittsburgh. It’s always nice to dust off the old records when people want to sell their vinyl, so I can give the avid collectors an opportunity to buy albums and expand their own collections.
